NEPSE Share Calculator for Nepal
Work out buy cost, sell value, break-even price, weighted average and profit on NEPSE trades — with broker commission, SEBON fee, DP charge and capital gains tax already counted.
Five Calculators on One Page
Share Buy Calculator
Enter quantity and price to get the total amount payable to your broker, including commission, SEBON fee and DP charge. The effective cost per share is what you actually paid once fees are counted — always a little above the market price you saw on the screen.
Share Sell Calculator
Enter quantity and your selling price to get the net amount credited to your account after commission, SEBON fee and DP charge are deducted. Capital gains tax is handled in Profit / Loss mode, since it depends on what you paid.
Share Profit / Loss and Break-even Calculator
The full round trip: buy side, sell side, every fee on both, capital gains tax, and your net profit in rupees and as a return percentage. It also shows the break-even sell price — the minimum price that leaves you no worse off after all charges and tax.
Share Average Calculator (WACC / weighted average price)
Bought the same stock more than once at different prices? Enter each lot to see your weighted average buy price before fees, plus a separate estimated cost per share with fees. For example, 100 shares at Rs. 100 and 300 at Rs. 200 average to Rs. 175 before fees. This estimate treats each lot as a separate transaction with its own DP charge; settlement grouping and acquisition costs can make your MeroShare WACC different.
Share Buy Calculator by Total Amount
The other direction: you know your budget, not your quantity. Enter how many rupees you have and the share price, and this gives the largest whole number of shares that fits — with the fees inside the budget rather than added on top, which is usually a share or two fewer than budget divided by price.
Understanding NEPSE Trading Charges
Broker Commission
Charged on every buy and sell transaction. The total transaction value selects one rate, from 0.36% up to Rs. 50,000 to 0.24% above Rs. 1 crore. That rate applies to the whole transaction, with a Rs. 10 minimum commission.
SEBON Fee
0.015% charged on every transaction by the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON). This is separate from broker commission and applies to both the buy and the sell side, so a full round trip pays it twice.
DP Charge
Rs. 25 per company per transfer to or from your Demat account. Multiple executions settled in one transfer can share this charge. This calculator models one transfer for each trade or purchase lot; your actual settlement grouping can change the total.
Capital Gains Tax
For resident individuals selling listed shares from 31 Bhadra 2083 BS (16 September 2026 AD): 5% on gains for holdings of 365 days or less, and 3.75% for holdings over 365 days. Earlier sales use the rates in force on their sale date. The calculator estimates a sale today.
Two things catch new investors out. First, there is a Rs. 10 minimum broker commission per transaction, so on trades below roughly Rs. 2,778 you pay the floor rather than 0.36%. Second, fees land on both sides of a trade: you pay commission, SEBON fee and DP charge when you buy, and again when you sell. That round trip is why the break-even sell price sits above your buy price even before any tax, and why a share that has “come back to what I paid for it” is still a small loss.

Disclaimer
This calculator estimates listed-share trades for resident individuals. It models one DP transfer per trade or input lot; actual settlement grouping, acquisition records and broker rounding can change your bill. It does not cover corporate or non-resident tax treatment, bonus/right-share cost-basis adjustments, or historical commission schedules.
